Zeta's membership is dedicated to using their energy to serve the communities that provide them the opportunities to learn and grow as students and professionals. Our ziblings are actively involved with local and national organizations that aid with a myriad of causes, such as health awareness and fighting against racial and social discrimination.
Following the cruel and unjust death of George Floyd, Zeta Phi Eta hosted an Instagram fundraiser to support Reclaim the Block, an organization that moves money from the Minneapolis police department into other areas of the city’s budget that promote health and safety.
We held another Instagram fundraiser to support the Trans Women of Color Collective, an organization that advocates for the fair treatment and health of trans and gender non-conforming people of color, in particularly Black trans women and femmes who are disproportionately impacted by structural and state sanctioned violence.
Every October, members participate in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. In the past, Zeta has also organized the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness Campus Walk at Emerson College.
If you have any questions or suggestions for organizations Zeta Phi Eta should highlight and support, please contact our Philanthropy Chair.
