RA in LB, POWER, Concrete Literary Magazine, and WECB.
How has Zeta helped you professionally and personally?
Zeta has helped me foster connections with people whose presence and love mean the world. This is a community that genuinely makes one feel wanted. There are so many people willing to lend their support in job search efforts, resume-building, and guidance. It is the perfect meld of professional and personal.
What are three professional goals/aspirations you have?
I want to get my MFA in poetry, elevate underrepresented literary voices in the publishing industry, and of course, write a book.
What is a piece of advice you would give to your freshman self?
The first step is to heal.
What is an organization you'd like to highlight and bring attention to or a cause you're passionate about?
Woke Foods—they are a food justice worker-owned co-op devoted to plant-based healing and land sovereignty by focusing on traditional Dominican and Afro-Caribbean foods. They currently have COVID-19 meal supply donations set up to assist in NYC mutual aid efforts.
