What made you decide to join Zeta?
I enjoy providing love and support to my friends in their pursuit of education and professional career and want to receive the same in return.
What are you involved in on campus besides Zeta?
I try to participate in as many organizations as possible, but I'm mainly involved in Anime@Emerson, ASIA, Beneath the Surface, POWER, and SGA.
How has Zeta helped you professionally and personally?
Zeta has taught me (and I continue to learn) that I can be gentle yet assertive in a professional setting, and that I am much more resilient than I realize.
What are three professional goals/aspirations you have?
1. Be a talk show host or equivalent and have conversations about individuals’ humanity (possibly different topics, but this is the central theme)
2. Build a start-up that will be a leader in the Malaysian media industry and branch out to Indonesia
3. Be an educator when I am financially comfortable and help make general education more accessible and productive in Malaysia
What is a piece of advice you would give to your freshman self?
You don't have to prove yourself to anyone.
What is an organization you'd like to highlight and bring attention to or a cause you're passionate about?
This isn't highlighting a grassroots organization but I am hoping more people will support Black-owned businesses! These days I am obsessed with henrymask.com, a facemask subscription with a variety of unique designs. According to their website, “With every purchase of a travel mask, we are donating a free mask to healthcare professionals on the frontlines of COVID-19 and to families in need.” You can also opt to donate masks without making a purchase!
